Kid-Friendly NYE Events

Don’t worry if you’re looking to spend New Year’s Eve with your kids and they’re not quite 21 yet – there’s plenty to do with the whole family!

  • Covington Zoo: ring in the Zoo Year with a bunch of party animals. Kids of all ages can attend and enjoy activities such as the Madcat Puppet Theater. There will be plenty of party favors and even a fireworks display.

  • BB Riverboats: kick off the New Year on a cruise around town complete with a DJ and party favors. This event is perfect for the kiddos who may not make it until midnight. Boarding begins at 10:30am and the cruise officially departs at noon.

  • Oakley Family NYE: bring the whole family down to Oakley Square for fireworks, hot chocolate, balloon animals, cartoons and more from 7-9pm.

NYE Events For Adults

  • Fountain Square: if dancing is your forte, this is the place to be on New Year’s Eve. You can also grab some grub and participate in goofy games with friends and family members. You can also lace up the skates and hit the ice during open skate and then watch the fireworks from Rozzi’s.

  • Midnight in Munich: is there a better way to ring in the New Year than with some authentic German beer and live music? Head out Mecklenburg Gardens before 6:00pm to celebrate the New Year alongside fellow Germans.

  • Speakeasy Party: they’re taking it back to 1923 at Know Theatre. Yes, that’s right, flappers, fedoras, martinis and jazz will be the theme at this event and it all benefits Your Theatrical Playground.
