Heating tips
•Set thermostat for heat and for the desired temperature.
•Change filters monthly or in the case of electronic air cleaner, clean them monthly.
This will help your system operate more efficiently and have less wear and tear on your equipment.
•Turn on humidifier and set humdistat for proper setting.
Note: Too much moisture will cause condensation to form on windows and the humidistat has to be adjusted accordingly. There are new humidity controls available that automatically adjust according to the weather. Humidifier should be serviced and pad changed at same time of furnace servicing.
•Arrange in the off season to have your furnace, boiler or heat pump serviced.
This way Rusk can do the routine maintenance on your system and have you prepared for the first cold day.
•Take advantage of our maintenance agreements.
Don't get left shivering in the winter cold! Those that take advantage of the routine maintenance agreements early, also get priority service if they have equipment failure or other problems later on. Maintenance agreement customers receive a reduced rate for services and same day service in most instances.
