At Rusk Heating & Cooling, we’re always looking for new ways to be more energy-efficient and save our customers money. If you use electricity to heat your home, we recommend considering an energy-efficient heat pump system. So how exactly do heat pumps work?

Heat pumps are an all-in-one, energy-efficient cooling and heating systems. They provide two to three times more heating than the equivalent amount of energy they consume in electricity. How’s that for energy savings?

In the summer, heat pumps work like air conditioners. They extract heat from inside your home and transfer it outside.

When it’s cold outside, your heat pump will do the exact opposite. It takes any heat available outside and moves it indoors. For optimal comfort and efficiency, we recommend combining a heat pump with a gas furnace in one dual-fuel system.
