If your bedroom is uncomfortably warm or cold, it can lead to an unwelcome wake-up call. However, there's no one temperature range that's ideal for everyone. Generally speaking, keeping your room between 65 and 72 degrees should do the trick.

However, if you're not getting enough shut-eye with the thermostat set somewhere in this range, you'll need to experiment. Pay attention to what temperature your thermostat is programmed at, and make a note of how you slept. Do this until you've found the best temperature for sleep!
Dr. Christopher Winter told the Huffington Post that there are also products that can help:
- Performance bedding, which is designed to wick away moisture and heat to make you feel cooler
- Gel mats, which lie over your mattress to keep you cool
- ChiliPad, which uses temperature-controlled water to keep your bed at a comfortable temperature
