- Turn on ceiling fans to keep air circulating. It will take some time for your house to heat up again and keeping the air moving can make you feel cooler than if you were sitting in a room where the air was stagnant.
- Take a dip in the pool. There's nothing more refreshing than taking a dive when you're feeling a bit overheated. Don't have a pool? Call a friend or family member with one, let them know you're having air conditioner troubles and ask them if you can pop over. We're sure they won't mind!
- Avoid cooking on the stove or turning on the oven. These two appliances are major heat-producers and will only add to your troubles. We recommend making a cold cut sandwich or firing up the grill outside instead.
- Head over to a public place that has air conditioning. The library, supermarket or movie theater are all great options.
