Summer is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean the projects around the house are going to stop. Fall tends to be the best time of year to get work done outside because temperatures aren’t too hot or too cold. So, if you’re looking for ways to improve your home in the upcoming months, we’ve got the perfect weekend project for you – disguising that outdoor air conditioner condensing unit. How To Hide Your Outdoor A/C Unit | Rusk Heating & Cooling

  1. Build An A/C House: why not build your condenser unit its very own house? You can create a house-like covering using lattice for the sides and plywood or plastic sheets for the roof. If you want to get really creative, model it after your own home.
  2. Build A Mosaic Screen: instead of throwing broken glass in the trash, use it to create a screen around your A/C unit. We recommend glueing the pieces onto sections of PVC fencing.
  3. Build A Fence: have extra pieces of wooden fence lying around? Cut them down to size and place them around the unit. Just be sure to leave enough room around the condenser (at least 2-3 feet of space) so air can flow through the system adequately.
  4. Build A Vertical Garden: if you want to take your lattice covering to the next level, use it to plant a vertical garden. This is a great way to have your air conditioner blend in with the greenery in your yard.
