Check the Pavement

If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your friend's little paw pads. Keep them walking on the grass and stay off the asphalt. If you are used to going out for a run with your friend, try an earlier time.

Groom Your Pet

Grooming your dog is applicable will assist them to stay cooler. Getting rid of mats and tangled hair will help. Think of it this way, if it keeps them warm in winter, it’s too hot for summer time.

Drink Plenty of Water

Keep your dog well hydrated and in the shade during any outside playtime and activities.

Cover Your Dog in Water

Have water play out in the yard or in the pool when the temps are getting hot. Make sure if you are dowsing them with water, to cool off their paws and stomach too!

Keep Your Pal Out of The Dog House
