Olive Oil For Healthy Skin

Olive oil can be used to remove dirt and makeup from your face and also prevent blackheads. It will also keep your face moisturized and keep it from getting too dry. Simply massage some olive oil onto your face and neck for a couple of minutes and then wipe it off with a warm wet cloth. You can make a whole body scrub by mixing olive oil with some sea salt or brown sugar. Olive oil scrubs are great for an exfoliate and will rejuvenate the skin and make it feel soft.

Treat An Ear Infection

Now, we don’t recommend this as a solution to an earache, but it’s been said that olive oil has actually been used for centuries to treat common ear infections or prevent swimmer’s ear. Applying a drop or two of olive oil in each ear before jumping into a body of water will help prevent the water from staying in the ear canals. If you have an ear infection you can heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil with minced garlic. After it is heated you simply strain out the garlic and let it cool before placing a few drops in your ears.

Olive oil is great for many around the home uses as well. You can polish wood furniture with it easily. Another great use is applying it to squeaky doors or using it as a shoe shine.
